About 15 million cubic metres of the timber used in Italy comes from its forests. In this episode of Trenditaly dedicated to wood, we discover how the wood pellet industry helps the circular economy and the energy market. We then visit an office furniture factory in Friuli that uses wood industry residues. Wood also shapes art in Italy. In Trentino, we listen to a lute maker who tells us about how musical instruments are made, from the choice of the wood to the manufacturing process, and we meet an artist from Ferrara who creates fantastic sculptures assembling branches of driftwood collected on beaches or along embankments. In questa puntata di Trenditaly dedicata al Legno, scopriremo per esempio come l'industria dei pellet di legno aiuti l'economia circolare ed il mercato energetico. Ci rechiamo poi in una fabbrica friulana di mobili per ufficio, prodotti con gli scarti della lavorazione del legno. Il legno, in Italia, dà anche forma all'arte. In Trentino accompagniamo un liutaio mentre ci racconta della produzione di strumenti musicali, dalla scelta del legno alla loro realizzazione, oppure incontriamo un artista ferrarese che, assemblando rami di legno raccolti in spiaggia o lungo gli argini, crea fantastiche sculture.
